#BrainFactMonday – What Is Your Inner World? How Do You Get To Know It?

Did you know that the human brain is the only object capable of contemplating itself?

This #BrainFactMonday is all about your inner world and your brain's ability to explore it AND turn that knowledge into useful advice to live your best possible life.

But what is your 𝗢𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿 π˜„π—Όπ—Ώπ—Ήπ—±?

It's the place within yourself where your thoughts, emotions, memories and beliefs reside. It's also the place where we process information and make decisions. Luckily your brain can explore it and make the best use of it (this fact amazes me!)

So, how do you explore your inner world?

Quite simple: by asking yourself questions that bring your attention within, such as how you felt in certain situations, what they meant to you, what impact they had in your life, how they shaped you as you are today and so on...

Your inner world exploration is a combination of:

Asking yourself open-ended questions βž• connecting the dots βž• staying with the feelings

Repeating often πŸ†š getting distracted by phone/small talk/tv and meaningless activities

And π˜„π—΅π—²π—» should you do it?

β€’ When queuing at the post office

β€’ During commuting to work

β€’ While your pasta is cooking (but if you overcook it, an Italian will die so be careful 😁)

Basically, anytime you have the opportunity to be with yourself. It should become a (beautiful) habit because it brings π—°π—Όπ˜‚π—»π˜π—Ήπ—²π˜€π˜€ π—―π—²π—»π—²π—³π—Άπ˜π˜€. Such as:

β€’ Making the best decisions for your life

β€’ Living an authentic life

β€’ Becoming more confident and assertive

β€’ Being a better leader (i.e. showing your vulnerability will become easier)

β€’ Helping you manage stress and improve your overall well-being
